Fellow, Facial Plastic Surgery
Dr. Yvonne Pierpont is completing a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery under the mentorship of Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS. Dr. Pierpont has nearly a decade of experience practicing as a physician. Before joining the award-winning surgical team at Clevens Face and Body Specialists, Dr. Pierpont completed a research fellowship and residency at the University of South Florida. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2008, where she served as Vice President of her class. Prior to medical school, Dr. Pierpont graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor in Science degree from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. As a medical student, Dr. Pierpont traveled to Beijing, China on an NIH scholarship to complete research on the use of stem cells in bone graft production.
Dr. Pierpont is the recipient of several awards including winning top honors as the Glancy Award winner from the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. Additionally, she is published in numerous journals about plastic and reconstructive surgery and has presented at national conferences, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons. A strong believer in continuous education and lifelong learning, Dr. Pierpont has completed post-graduate coursework in facial trauma and reconstruction, as well as rhinoplasty and microsurgery. As a dedicated volunteer, Dr. Pierpont has shared her time and talents in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with the organization “Response-ability.” Dr. Pierpont’s personal interests include traveling and staying active by running, playing volleyball, and practicing Vinyasa yoga.
